MOBILITY IN HUNGARY
Everyone was really excited because finally the pandemic situation let us have a mobility. This was the first time that the students and teachers from Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Italy and Hungary could meet. Unfortunately, Italy cancelled due to the Covid 19 and the Turkish students could not come due to a new regulation.
Day 1
Thus on Sunday, 17th October, 2021 the Hungarian team could welcome 4 students and 3 teachers from Portugal, 4 students and 2 teachers from Spain, and 2 teachers from Turkey.
In the evening, after dinner the Hungarian team welcomed their guests. There was the representative of Dunakeszi, the School Governer, the Principal and teachers and students from Koneli.
The Hungarian students talked about Hungary and the school then the whole team played ice-breaking and name games. Koneli gave a gymsack to everyone as a welcome present.
Day 2
After berakfast the whole team played some more name games then we set the rules for the mobility, plus it was also important to talk about their expectations and fears.
Then students and teachers took part in creative Geography and History lessons to learn about each other countries.
So did you know that….
- Hungary has only one high montain which is not really high?
- Istambul is not the capital of Turkey, but ’only’ the biggest city?
- Azores Islands are in the middle of the ocean yet have thermal water?
- Spain has a king?
We had a lot of fun yet studied a lot.
In the afternoon we visited a Fortress from Roman Times. It was incredible to see how thick the walls were and how many objects could still be seen.
In the evening we ’travelled to Istambul’ with the help of the Turkish teachers. We learnt a Turkish dance, we met the Turkish students via internet and we tasted a lot of delicious Turrkish food e.g. Baklava.
Day 3
Stiil excited. The international group tpgether with the whole Koneli school travelled back in time to a farm ….. so we visited Szentendre Skanzen.
It was interesting to see how people lived years back in a village. Kids could try their daily chores: collect grass, clean the horses, feed the goats, carry water buckets, etc.
There were two unexpected surprises. (1) The International group taught the Turkish dance they learnt the day before to the Koneli students; (2) Year 2 Koneli students prepared with a folk dance performance for the foreign guests.
After the tiring but satisfactory day we ’travelled to Azores Islands’. We enjoyed pineapple and cheese with a fantastic Passion fruit soft drink. Then we learnt a Portuguese folk dance and got to know a lot about the Islands.
Day 4
Althought getting more and more tired, the group was facing a lot of (around 18 kms) walk in Budapest. Unfortunately, it was impossible to explore Budapest in a day, but we tried 😀
spy game in the castle – walk on Margaret Island – take the metro and the escalator (for the first time) – admire the Parliament and the Saint Stephen Basilica – shopping in a big mall
Getting back to the accommodation we ’found ourselves ’ in Spain. We learnt a lot about the Spanish culture and cities, plus we could enjoy an original Spanish dance thanks to the Spanish students. We should not forget about the Spanish omlette, cheese, ham we could taste.
Day 5
On our last day the Hungarian team invited the guest to show their school, where all the classes prepared some surprises to them, the Spanish and the Portuguese teams talked about their countries and finally, they did some handcraft together.
In the afternoon the international team started to work on a comic booklet in which they would write down and draw their experience of all the mobilities.
On the Farewell party parents of the Hungarian students were invited and they could see all the work the group had done. We danced all the dances we had learnt and the parents could aslo try them.
It was sad to think about that it was over and everybody was going home the other day.
MOBILITY TOOL
Finally the pandemic situation let us have a mobility. This was the first time that the students and teachers from Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Italy and Hungary could meet. Unfortunately, Italy cancelled due to the Covid 19 and the Turkish students could not come due to a new regulation. The C1 and C2 mobility were posponed and this mobility should originally have held in Poland but hey stepped out of the project, so Hungary decided to organise this mobility.
